Same Sex Wedding photography at Victoria Methodist Church, Bristol and The Barn at Berkeley

For this same sex wedding, I was second shooting for Scott Stockwell, this was my first time shooting with Scott and it was really good fun. You can see my next outing with Scott here.

I started off with bridal prep for one of the brides in this lovely wedding, as soon as I arrived the bridal party were so welcoming to me and were having a really good time doing eachother’s makeup and hair amongst the usual chaos of clothes and makeup everywhere. I started off with a photo of their beautiful cat, who was happily basking in the autumn sunshine, before easing myself into photographing the girls getting ready.

We then moved on to the wedding ceremony at Victoria Methodist Church on Whiteladies Road in Bristol, the venue is fantastic, especially in the bright but low sunshine, it streamed through the ornate windows to illuminate the ceremony. Being a wedding photographer in Bristol is such a privelidge, this wedding was the first same sex Methodist church wedding to be held in Bristol, so I feel very lucky to have been there to take photos.

Finally, we all made our way through the Bristol traffic to head to The Barn at Berkeley for the reception. The brides arrived in their Audi A3 cabriolet, they even let me park it, but it took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to even get it started…. Lets say I’m used to an older style of vehicle. The reception was followed by the wedding breakfast and speeches, then into the playroom for the deathslides and ball pool, before some lovely evening couples portraits under the fairy lights.
