Tom Brossard
Hi, I’m Tom, a wedding photographer from Bristol. I photograph weddings all over the place but mainly in South West UK.
I’ve been taking photos since 1996, I grew up with analogue photography and developing films in the darkroom. Nowadays I shoot mainly digital but still like to include film photography in my weddings. My style is documentary, I don’t like to overly pose people or make you stand in rigid, awkward positions. I prefer to keep things natural and relaxed, offering you the gentle guidance to make you look great without having to be self-conscious.
If I’m at your wedding, I don’t lurk at the sides, I photograph people up close and catch the laughter, the tears and everything in between. I’ll tell you my worst jokes and I’ll probably chat with your gran.
That’s me in the picture (obviously) with my little lad on one of his first trips to the beach. The other photo is my dog, Nelli on a frosty winter morning.
What am I like?
I'm really easy going, I love dogs, old VWs, beaches, spicy food, 90s music, retro cameras, photography books, fantasy novels, watching sports and learning bad jokes.
If I could be any animal, what would I be?
I’d be a dog because I’m very loyal, love jumping into water, sleeping by the fire and I adore a tummy rub. Plus dogs are great.
Why do I shoot weddings?
For the people. As soon as I got my first camera, I started taking photos of people. I've tried landscapes, seascapes, travel, urban exploration, pets and still life but I always end up coming back to people. I’m a people watcher at heart.
What Else do I do?
I play volleyball, both beach and indoor and I met my partner Sarah on the volleyball court. We have two little boys and a Springer Spaniel called Nelli, we love taking her to new places to explore and sniff (she does most of the sniffing).
Lots of our trips are to beaches in our old VW campervan, for walkies, volleyball and surfing.
I am also a bit of a nerd, I draw maps for tabletop games and have been published in several magazines.
Now it’s your turn
You made it this far? I’m impressed, but now I want to hear about you. Get in touch with me, tell me everything you want, even if you’ve not got a date yet, I don’t mind. Hopefully you have found your wedding photographer.
